Description:Lady Bay Beach [also known as Lady Jane] is located at Watson's Bay, on Sydney's south head. It was granted legal status in 1976, but was in use as a nudist beach long before. Although it is very small, and quite of interest to the passing tourists, the beach has a lovely 'vibe'. Be warned, however, that at high tide space is at an optimum, and rogue waves pose a constant threat. For the uninitiated, take the locals advice. Bring a plastic mat for your towel, as the sand is always wet, and very uncomfortable for those not "in the know". Many of the locals mark out there positions amongst the sandstone rocks and platform - making quite a sight!
Directions:Drive east of the city along New South Head Road. There's a car park right at the end, but get in early. It is a slight walk from the car park to the beach - take some water and money to buy refreshments at Watson's Bay Kiosk.
